If I had a fancy form fitted cased that protected the valve, No. But, my used horn came in a generic DEG euphonium hard case (loose fit and no 4th valve protection). When it was shipped to me, that 4th valve button and stem were smashed (in transit, claimed the seller). In my dent bag, the euph rests on the 4th valve side - at least that's better than the lead pipe.

I supposed I should buy a few replacement springs.
