On my Eb tuba, I had some problems of pitch on some harmonics and some notes using the 3rd slide. The instrument is 3 piston+ 1 side compensation. I have to have my left and on the piston so, a guy who repair usually my tuba add a trigger for the thumb that move my tuning slide and an extension to move down the 3rd slide. All slides comes back at the initial position and stoppers stay the slides at the good places. And all can be reach easyli with my left hand, to avoid to lose the piston...
