Wade's description indicates that certain aspects of the tuba have been improved. So while the cosmetics may be "sub-par", the tuba is likely worth as much (or more) as any other 180 F currently offered... depending on your priorities.
If you are interested in the tuba, but would like it at a lower price, email Wade and make an offer. Otherwise, I respectfully recommend that you consider staying out of Wade's business.
