I played both and preferred the Besson because I really liked the warm tone. Also, it was more comfortable ergonomically for me. The Conn was excellent, but the Besson just helped me better produce the sound in my minds ear. I do not know the specs of the Besson, but it played as if it were a larger bore instrument. Granted, I didn't blat out the ride as loud as I could at the show, but it did seem able to handle a large amount of air pretty well. Also, for me, the Conn did not perform well in the upper registers.
