Are you absolutely sure you can't get a case made and delivered by the date you have to make your trip? Roslyn Johnson and the folks at Johnson Cases can be extremely accommodating, when possible. Furthermore, for the price you'd pay for an extra seat, you'd be halfway towards the cost of a new case.
