Now, just a goll-durn minute! Anyone who lives in a world that is beholden to endowments and grants CHOSE to be in that world. You can get out of that world TODAY by entering the job market. Or you can stay in the world you are in and deal with the negative aspects of being supported by others (that IS, after all, what endowments and grants are). But be prepared: there are politics aplenty in the corporate world. That's the problem with people. Hrmph.
And durn, Rick is ultimately employed by the government! Talk about dependence on politics!
