He said "under $8000," which in this case means slightly over $400. That's a great price for a 20K if it is complete, plays, and you don't mind a few dents. Of course since Joe has the ability to overhaul this at "cost" it probably won't have those dents too long and he will certainly be able to make a nice profit on it.
Although his comments were tongue in cheek, I used my 20K instead of a BAT for outdoor concerts with great success. I think that there are many orchestral pieces where this horn would be the perfect thing, if the player wouldn't be laughed off the stage for using it.
