Connie Weldon

I studied from Connie Weldon in the mid to late 1970's at the University of Miami. Among her many accomplishments Connie Weldon played in the Concertgebouw Orchestra, served as associate professor at the University of Miami and as associate dean of the University of Miami School of Music. Former students of her's include Sam Pilafian and James Jenkins (as well as other notable tubists). Connie was one of the first to have tuba ensemble as a for credit ensemble. She has done much for her students, education, the tuba and music in general. Also, Connie is now happily retired.
