Joe, I think discussing any individual would be very unprofessional, so I won't. Nor do I wish to give anyone my resume'. (like Goodgigs!) But, I play and have played with many members of major symphonies including personnel managers and representatives. It is common to negogiate (still can't spell that word!!!) a contract once the audition process is over. To say that it is rare would be incorrect based on my personal conversations. If you have had different experiences, so be it. But with the "big", meaning major status orchestras that these players have played or won auditions with, these are the experiences that they have told me. Especially for a principal position.

Of course, this is a fruitless conversation at this point..especially on this board. I don't know you and you don't know me. If you wish to believe my statements, great. If not, so be it.

Good luck in all you do.

Mark
