Thou protestith too much. It's not "supposedly" - Hitler DID listen to Wagner. He meddled with productions at Bayreuth. But long before that, he actually attended "Ring" and "Meistersinger" productions in Vienna that were conducted by Mahler. In fact, irony of all ironies, Mahler was allegedly Hitler's favorite conductor of Wagner's works.
In spite of the Hitler association, I seriously doubt that works by Wagner will be banned anywhere but Israel, where they already are. In Fact, Barenboim has been working hard behind the scenes to undo that ban, much to the fear and annoyance of many Israelis.
