I HAVE to say though, that I had never heard one of those ultra-valuable fiddles in a close, intimate setting until last month, when a young lady guested with an orchestra
I play in. The violin was made by J. B. Guadagnini, and valued in excess of seven figures. EASILY the most amazingly wonderful-sound I have ever heard from a violin, and for me to acknowledge that is saying a lot. Was it worth a million bucks +? I don't know, but thats what they go for today.
