The Kalison cimbasso that Klaus posted is one of them. Also, there is a picture in the Bevan Tuba Family book that shows one that looks to be made from a Yamaha valve section. I've never seen the model listed anywhere but it looks to use an upright Yamaha valve section, perhaps off of a YEB321, mated to a standard, forward-facing, cimbasso bell. You could also check with Orsi. They make a cimbasso with a different shape, more like a tuba but with all the dimensions of a cimbasso, and that horn also has piston valves. Lastly, I know that at least a couple of the european manufacturers make a piston valve cimbasso. I've seen one based on a Cerveny design and I assumed that, because it had pistons instead of rotaries, it was an Amati. Also, my understanding is that Thein can make a cimbasso with pistons. I've never seen one, I've only been told this. Since they custom make instruments to the purchaser's requirements, I imagine they could do just about anything.

Hope this helps.

My opinion for what it's worth...
