My advice would be to fly to a shop that carries everything that you want to try. Don't buy your first horn on ebay. Sure, he says that it's good, but people often have different opinions on what is good. I think that my Conn plays like a dream, but I know several of my fellow students that don't like how it plays. Think about this purchase before you make. Good luck on finding a horn that's best for you.
