comes in handy when you're dealing with method books, like Arban. Buy the trumpet version (25 bucks instead of the 50 dollar tuba version) and use it on whatever key tuba you've got, using the same fingerings. The exercises will be positioned right for whatever instrument you're playing. No need for special "concert pitch" transposed versions and wondering if the the one for CC will work just as well on a BBb or F tuba.

Two books that will probably never come out in BC versions are the Max Pottag "335 Selected Melodious Progressive and Technical Studies" for French horn. A lot of variety, you get some Kopprasch, some Gallay, some Kling, orchestral solo exceprts and lots of other stuff. Enough to keep you busy for a long time and a lot of fun to play. I've heard that Mr. Jacobs was fond of these blue and red books--someone care to corroborate this?
