K&M makes a "beefy" stand that is extremely compact (like their model 101) but more sturdy - and with a deeper desk. I'll be d*mned if I can figure out the model # though. I ordered one for my daughter one time and got the right stand. Ever since then when I try to order it (obviously, I'm not figuring out the right model), I get this GIGANTIC MONSTER stand that isn't it at all, and it takes me several months to find someone who wants a "6/4" collapsable music stand.
If you can figure out the correct model #, I recommend the K&M stand that my daughter has.
