still have some cheapies ($900/$850/$2000):

Amati "large 3/4" BBb: 3 top-action pistons are now nickel plated and refit (unlike "raw" nickel silver [troublesome] factory pistons found on these) factory lacquer is quite decent, and small bottom dents have been "Erased". funky usable case...decent looking/playing tuba

King 1240 "4/4" BBb: 3 front-action .687" bore pistons have been replated/refit. body is rough - could do some work for additional $$. detachable recording. SUPER-nice (like new) original King TOUGH vintage cases included (found them separate from the tuba)

Conn 24J "6/4" BBb: 4 short-action top-action .770" bore pistons have "zero" wear and virtually factory-new, as is the entire valve section (including valve section' factory lacquer). Instrument needs outer body and bell dent removal and refinishing - which we are willing to do, if you're not antsy to get this tuba "today". no cases

note: A previously-mentioned 184-5U is not available. A complicated 3-way trade feel through. Actually, after I fixed up one of the parties' potential trade instruments, it played so well that I advised them to keep it. They agreed.
