You may want to try the Warburton Neilan model, available in standard and large shank. It is a deep funnel style mouthpiece with a comfortable rim that may be a good replacement if you like the 24AW. This mouthpiece gives a full dark sound that still has core and projection. I habe not noticed any loss in attack or any 'deadness'with it.
