Hello.
In my opinion, nothing beats a good silver King Sousaphone on the marching field. With the right MP, the one I have sounds a lot better than any Yamaha or Conn that I've heard. Heck, it even beats quite a few concert tubas. They're also durable. Our school has the same ones they had when it opened, and besides the normal dents that come from marching season and the idiot sax players out there who MUST test the hardness of brass, the horn looks and plays like new.
