I just switched mouthpieces from the current Bach 7 to an old New York Bach 7 that I picked up on ebay. Works great, the differences are perceivable to me, but probably not to anyone hearing me, which is just what I wanted.
Problem is, the shank is pretty small, I'm guessing it fits an old American Eb, and not my Rudy. A small strip of newsprint is just the right thickness to keep the mouthpiece from wobbling around deep inside the leadpipe, but I'd much rather use a very thin brass adapter to keep from having to pick out bits of wet paper every time I play.
Anyone know if such things are mass produced, or will I have to get one made for me? Thanks!
