There is another alternative for the BBb player who doesn't want a book which was specifically rewritten so the fingering would lie for CC tuba as the do for trumpet in the origianl Arban: The William Bell Complete Method for Tuba, published by Charles Colin in New York, for about the same price as the Jerry Young Complete Arban for Tuba. It's not complete, but is in the same relative key as the trumpet book, e.g. Bb in the trumpet book shows C. This book combines Bell's daily routine, his version of parts of Arban, his version of Blazevich, good fingering charts for 4valve BBb and Euphonium which reach well into the stratosphere of the treble clef, some of the Arban lyrical songs , solos and duets, some transcriptions of parts Bach and Marcello cello sonatas, and a couple of Bell's humorous numbers (Gus the Hippo and Tubaman).

I have both, and often like the challenge of the Young version on BBb tuba, because things are often in keys which don't lie well, but I think the Bell version is unfortunately neglected of late.
