Just take my word for it!, DO NOT put it in HOT water, warm is OK. even a little detergent is OK with the proper rinsing, but don't risk leaving soap residue. use valve oil to clean the slide tubes, BOTH surfaces inside also. then one of them tubing brushes to finish the job. I would skip the detergent on a rotor valve horn.
