I just bought a Perantucci 24, which has a heavy construction, off of Ebay. I'd owned and loved a Perantucci before, and at $30 and in near mint shape, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to experiment with the heavy design. So far I love the mouthpiece. I feel that my attacks are more accurate, I have a more solid and centered tone, and my dynamic range is a bit broader and more under control.
