When I had similar issues I picked up a Miraphone Rose Orchestra (TU25 I think) which is a very deep, large mouthpiece to use with my 186CC and it really rumbles the floor on the low notes.
I've also had a lot of success with the Helleburg mouthpieces and am currently indebted to Ike H for a Helleburg Sear mouthpiece that works well for my situation (quintet/small ensemble/small orchestra).
For the sake of a plug, I'm trying to unload the Rose Orchestra as it's a little much for my situation. It's practically new with no scratches or wear (other than the normal marks on the shank). I'd like $45 for it.
Good Luck
