Steve, totally off the subject, but I bought a horn from a wall in "saloon" in a casino in town. It is a 4 valve King(upright valves) with a "USN" insignia. As I used to teach in the Military, I am sure this is a dead-lined Navy horn. Here is the crazy thing. I washed it out(in very hot water, no laquer left) cleaned it up, oiled it up and it played fine(well, fine enough, no leaks). Sold it the very next day to a chap in Utah who wanted a tuba. Moral of this rather wandering tale: I ALWAYS ASK IF THEY WANT TO SELL THEM!!!! Usually they do.
