I agree with a previous poster that you shouldn't have it "narrowed down" to these two horns if you haven't played either (or any other horns). If you haven't played that many horns go out and try a bunch, you might surprise yourself.
However, I couldn't disagree more with the thought that to be a college tubist one must have a CC tuba. There are advantages to having a CC in college, but there can be advantages to having a BBb as well. Any reasonable person will listen to how you play, not look at what key your tuba is in. Don't rule out a CC, but don't be sucked into the thought that to be a "serious" player you MUST have a CC. It's simply not true.
