Beeswax, Bagbalm, Curex, Corn Huskers, in that order. Beeswax is the main ingredient in toilet gasket rings and is fairly cheap in that form; better to melt in a double boiler and cast in a useful form using small discarded cardboard cylinders. Other forms are not nearly so convenient. You might also look at various lipsticks (hypo allergenic) in clear or white for one without vaseline (petrolatum) or parafin as a base.
