I'm not disputing that rotaries are nearly maintenance-free valves. I'm just noting that, on those rare occasions where a valve would start messing up and there's hardly any time for a fix, it's easier & quicker to handle a piston rather than a rotary.
All valves work great if maintained they way they should be.
