I realize that this is of no use to you, but I have found that when I need to stand and play a while with my MW 25 (which does have rectangular loops for a strap) that it is more comfortable to rest the bottom strap bracket on my belt buckle. This way, I can let my hips support the tuba, leaving my upper body unrestricted. This doesn't work, though, if you are walking, as the tuba bounces too much. Out of curiosity, how much (and how successful) would it be to attach brackets to the horn?
