I'm sure that many of you have heard a recording somewhere of someone playing one of these wonderful horns. There are a batch of 5 that are supposedly "magnificant"....One owned by each Roger Bobo, Gene Pokorny, and David Fedderly. Maestro Bobo speaks very highly of his Alex....yes, the one in "the pic". Mr. Pokorny uses his Alex, most notably on his excerpt CD. And I recently had the opportunity to here Mr. Fedderly play his Alex in his basement...WOW!

So where are the other 2?! And does anyone else out there have any experience with these instruments? I have heard that Alexander will still produce tubas only on request....will they still make these?

One other question....Anyone played the Meinl-Weston Model 49 or 49/5 rotary euphoniums?

Ok, ok.....I'm going to bed now....

"talk amongst yourselves".....

Josh
