Two questions, I always thought that the nickel silver slides, leadpipe, and valve casings on the "Pro" model were more than cosmetic. I understood that nickel silver is more corrosion resistant than the regular brass used on "S" models. This sounds more than cosmetic to me. Is it?

What would be the use of the 6th valve on a CC and especially a BBb tuba? Assuming that the 5th valve is a flat whole step, what configurations would the 6th valve some in, and what would be the impact on the playing characteristics of the horn?
