Here's the "quickly translated" version (as you can see, human translators don't have anything to worry about just yet!):

The prototype of the front action BBb-tuba with piston-valves (1291) is at present in development. The potential of the new Miraphone "flag ship" already shows itself at the current level of development. This model shares external dimensions of the compact rotary BBb tuba (1291). The dimensions of the mouth pipe and valveset point to a very promising sound experience. With the first blowing tests the "giant baby" particularly captivated with it’s full but soft tone, especially in the pedal range. Compared with more closely built (?) contrabass tubas this soundcharacter is preserved homogeneously over the entire range almost without breaks. In particular the often disturbing tone and sound difference (breaks?) between the BBb and the pedal A, or large C (?) are hardly noticeable. Good intonation stability around the 5. Nature tone (5th partial?) is facilitated by omission of annoying alternate fingerings. The 1. and 4. valve slides are easily reached by the left hand. The 1291 model will also be available with 5th valve. The advantage of the low-sitting bell for better sound and intonation control by the player has already been proven with the 1291 BBb-tuba. Additionally the short and compact design makes handling easier. This model is definitely no instrument for the beginner but was developed primarily for professional tubists, music students, as well as ambitious amateur players. The musician should have sufficient breath resources, in order to “draw from the piece of splendour” (I had to leave that, it's priceless!)the typically rumbling and full sound. The areas of application are not limited to symphony and opera orchestras, but also in larger brass ensembles, brass bands and symphonic wind ensembles the "new one" finds application at any time. For all piston fans the conception of the prototype will surely be a "hit" at the Bundesmusikfest celebration. (not sure when that is...)

Now if somebody could get us a price and delivery, Mirafone might even presell some of these...

Charlie?
