You should hear the stories I've heard about what UPS does to well-packed bicycles (that cost as much as some tubas and are a lot less fragile) shipped to races by triathletes.
They tell the same stories about the airlines that we do, also. And customs people. Most U.S. triathletes who go to Ironman Canada in British Columbia will fly into Spokane, rent a car, and drive to Penticton. For those of you who went to the ITEC in Canada, does that sound familiar?
