When you go buy your nuts and bolts for the repair, observe Klaus' warning about sharp protruding edges. Also, it might be a good idea to purchse stainless steel nuts and bolts as they won't rust like the zinc-plated Chinese boron steel garbage will. )Don't get me started about the quality of hardware currently available at the retail level!)

You can also buy nickel-plated split rivets from Ferree's if you want a more-or-less original-equipment look.
