yep. A lot of orchestra conductors tend to dicate the ictus (How is that spelled, anyway?) on the UPswing, rather than DOWN (like a bunch of band conductors do). Just watch for that upward sweep and GO when he is "just about" there. This has to be adjusted for various tempi. DON'T use this "anticipation" technique unless the entire orchestra is entering "cold". When the orchestra is playing along in tempo, just learn to "do it".
