oh, heck, I can't help it.
It was a mid-70's bare brass (mostly) Miraphone 186 CC, with five valves. The player, who is pro-quality, used a Conn Helleberg mouthpiece. He thinks the new 186 CC's are better than his.
And my wife's uncle, the tuba player, sat right next to him, studying every detail.
