I agree with that point as well. There isn't too much euphonium music that requires the player to play that low, unless the euph player decides to play Bass trombone music. I think that too many people just have to have a compensating instrument because it's a compensating instrument. There are 11 or so euphonium majors at my college. Two of which play on Yamaha 321's. I feel that a euph should sound good, regardless of whether or not it has all the compensating stuff.
