So, here's some more from the oboist with a tuba...
The woman from whom I got my Conn 80J called today, saying she had found more tuba paraphenalia in her house, and did I want it. So, now I've got another mouthpiece, and, of course, I have a question about it.
Judging by the amount of nastiness crusted onto it, I'm guessing that this was the one the old owner used the most. It says "Martin Elkhart 33" on it. I haven't seen any posting mentioning this type of mouthpiece, so my question is:
Is this
1) a good mouthpiece
2) a decent mouthpiece
3) a student mouthpiece
4) helpful for adding oil to my car
