Hey Joe, I am currently taking cello lessons. Beside playing around with the tuba, I play with a lot of other musical toys, mostly self taught. I find that the bow is the hardest thing to learn and it seperates me from the cello. If I put the bow down and pluck like I'm playing a string bass, alot of my problems go away. With the other instruments there is no seperation, there is no third party in the relationship, the is no third item to learn to control. I hope that someday I will reach the point of musical freedom that I have with the tuba, or the guitar, but it will take a much longer time. My hat is also off to the string players.
