Maybe think of it this way: If you have money saved away for college, consider making a wise investment in a horn that will last you a long time. A tuba is a college tool and should be bought with the same mentality as a computer.. (I'm going to get the latest Mac when the are updated in July... mmm G5). I may be suggesting something that may not be a possibility and if so I apologize. But if you are like most people and have the money saved, consider getting a $5k-6.5k horn, it will serve you well.
