It's also very common for students to have their scholarship revoked during their semester of student teaching. This can create a HUGE financial burden and has even caused some students I know to delay their student teaching by a year or more to simply save up the money. Ridiculous! Too many schools use students for what they can get out of them, then drop them like bad habits.
