I don't know if this is answering the question, but as a former Getzen owner, the sound from the very close bell was strikingly so much different at first and then was a nice thing to hear yourself after having so many taller bells before it. The sound is very full, but compact and crisp at the same time. Was never too sure about it's projection, though. Since then I played an older Mirafone - a little weird going back to that style again, and now with the smaller Rudy, which is to me the best of both worlds - a closer bell but a more German sound with very good projection.
