If you absolutely need to play a passage with a low Eb another option you have is to pull your third valve slide out to the point that you can play a flat low Gb with just the third valve. Then you'll be able to play low Eb with 1-2-3. Of course this means that during that passage you'll need to play new fingers for any notes that you used to play with the third valve slide. what you used to play 2-3 would become just 3. What used to be 1-3 becomes 2-3 and what used to be 1-2-3 become 1-3.
