Langwill lists Julius Rudolph as making brass instruments in Gotha from 1880 - 1949. It doesn't say much else, except that he died in 1900 and his widow took over until 1910 when his son, Gotthardt Friedrich Oscar Otto, succeeded her. Then in 1938, his son, Julius Otto Bruno Friedrich, took over the business until he comitted suicide in 1945. His widow ran the business until 1949. They list a report of a compact model tuba.
