I stumbled on the following web page that discusses the effect of varying bell and leadpipe taper and bore size on trumpets.
Since tuba geometries vary all over the place with bores from the low .600's to 0.900" and bell shapes that sometimes defy description, I'm curious to hear what you think about the ideas put forth here:
