I put my 20K bell on my 21J just to try it out and because I only had an upright bell. The bell is 2" larger in diameter than a 20J bell and doesn't angle up the way a 20J bell does, but still clears the body. I found that I had to turn the bell slightly to the right to be able to see around it, but it worked. I did lose any peripheral vision to the right though. It gave the horn a bigger sound if you can imagine that, but I didn't find it getting muddy like you might expect.
