Unless your planning on doing alot of large ensemble work, the Miraphone will serve you well. The HB-6 is a better tuba, but if you can buy a VMI Culbertson and keep your Miraphone, then do it. Just make sure you try the rotary version of the VMI. The piston version has problems.
