I owned the PT20 for a little while and sold it and bought a Rudy. My band director actually noticed enough of a difference to comment on it. I played the PT20 for the fall semester and in the spring I got a Rudy and played it on the first concert of the spring, he came up to me after the concert and said I sounded really great this concert and asked if I had been doing anything different! He had know idea that I had bought a new horn, just that he really liked how I sounded in the group. I also prefer my Rudy to the PT20 however, I had the piston version and the way it was wrapped i could easily reach the first valve slide, I think if you got the PT20 rotory, it might be different, not sure. For what it's worth, there it is.
