good question, I would say around the Eb above the staff, As I have always only used CC tubas, and don't like the sound of F tubas, this difference is important to me. For example, I never would have been able to make my piggy an everyday horn if it didn't have a s good a high register as it does. I can easily control it all the way to above Double CC, which is impossible on many other CC's I have played, including all but one 56J I have played. most 56's semm to stall out around Eb or E.
