I suspect there's a lot of individual variation. I also took 25+ years off. If anything, I feel that my lower register came back faster than my upper register.
But, the jobs not done, yet. All I can say is that right now I can play all of the LOW notes calles for in the music I see, but still feel insecure on many high passages (and especially on high entrances). But, these are getting easier, with time...and repetition...and repetition...and repetition...and repetition...
