Speaking for myself, I think it would kind of be neat to have an Eb that looks and can put out sound like a contrabass tuba, but is still flexible(especially in the high range)- capable of bass tuba solo works and chamber settings.
Kind of like those trumpet players that search high and low for an Eb that sounds like a C trumpet, not wanting to swap horns a couple times during a performance for the high stuff.
What a dream!
Now someone make one...
